To celebrate the launch of her spring collection and sign copies of her new design book, Rhapsody, designer Kelly Wearstler teamed up with LACMA’s Young Patrons Group Avant-Garde to host an evening of stylish fun in her flagship Melrose boutique.

According to LA Racked, the design icon transformed her boutique, which was “booming with an inspiring blend of sartorial stars, décor aficionados, art visionaries” and more. Wearstler was celebrating the launch of her “printspirational” spring collection and even had copies of her design book, Rhapsody, on hand to sign for guests. Attendees included author Melissa Magsaysay and Bare Collection’s Jesse Southern. Brancott Estate Wines provided beverages at the event.

Wearstler donated 20 percent of the evening’s sales to LACMA, and if customers visit her boutique before January 23, she will donate another 20 percent of the sale to LACMA.

LACMA’s Young Patrons Group Avant-Garde is for young professionals “interested in great and more rewarding support for the arts,” according to the LACMA website. Members receive privileges that include invitations to select exhibition opening receptions, VIP passes to special exhibitions, and more. They are also privy to special Avant-Garde events like behind-the-scenes tours, curatorial walkthroughs, receptions with artists and educational lectures.
