The South Beach Wine & Food Festival isn’t just bringing chefs and foodies by the thousand. It’s also when Charles St. is going to open at the Boulan South Beach. Since the building’s opening, there have been a lot of rumors of storied restaurants taking the new, never-been-occupied space. Now we have confirmation that a collaboration between Maso Hospitality Group and THINK Hospitality (from NYC) called Charles St. is opening the third week of February. The concept is a modern, airy bistro designed by Casa Conde & Associates, with prices reasonable enough to attract locals. The kitchen will be helmed by Wolfgang Birk, and be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And there is already a hot invite to score to the opening VIP grand celebration, which doubles as a fundraiser for Alonzo & Tracy Mourning’s Mourning Family Foundation. Celebuchef Todd English will host.
