Oscar-Winning Actress Kate Winslet Marries Billionaire Richard Branson’s Nephew in Secret
Oscar-winning actress secretly married billionaire Richard Branson’s nephew in a secret ceremony earlier this month, and no one was the wiser.
The 37-year-old tied the not with NedRocknRoll (born Abel Smith) earlier this month, a British rep for the actress confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter.
The rep says that Kate: “Wed Rocknroll in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends. The couple had been engaged since the summer.”
The English rose’s parents reportedly did not attend the wedding; it was said that Leonardo DiCaprio, Winslet’s co-star in the films Titanic and Revolutionary Road, walked her down the aisle.
Her new husband works for his uncle, Virgin founder Branson, as an executive at Virgin Galactic.
This is Winslet’s third marriage: she was previously married to Jim Threapleton and award-winning director Sam Mendes.
