Celebrate the Eve of New Year’s Eve With HighSight

Most of us make plans for New Year’s Eve and that’s it. But some of us know that the end of the year has more to offer, like Highsight’s Eve of the Eve event. Eve of the Eve takes place the day before New Year’s Eve and is a huge party that benefits Highsight’s scholarship program. HighSight is an organization committed to provide academic and social support to Chicago high school students through tutoring, mentoring, scholarships and more. They are a great organization and they know how to put on a great upscale (fun though, not uptight) party.

The Eve of the Eve party is basically a black-tie optional event with over 2,000 people mixing it up to support a great cause. The party takes over the entire Great Hall in Union Station (500 West Jackson Boulevard) and will have the trifecta that equates to a good time, cocktails, dancing and a live band. This event promises to be one of the Chicago’s coolest extravaganzas and a perfect warm-up to whatever your New Year’s plans may be. I say warm-up reluctantly because there’s nothing warm about an event with 2,000 people and an after-party at Cuvee Chicago (308 West Erie).

There will be an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a cash raffle. The tickets are $125 in advance and $140 the day of the event. VIP tickets, which feature a VIP reception and balcony bar, are $150. So go have fun, and like most of the events I feature you can do so knowing that you are supporting a great cause.
