elit™ by Stolichnaya® has announced the launch of its new limited edition vodka, The Himalayan Edition, which is the first in the brand’s elit pristine water series. With just 300 bottles available for global distribution, the new venture has Stolichnaya leading the way in pioneering the ultimate in ultra-premium spirits.
According to Val Mendeleev, CEO of SPI Group, “With the launch of this first-of-its-kind, limited edition series, elit by Stolichnaya continues to raise the bar when it comes to providing superior quality, perfection, and taste. As a leader in the spirits industry, this is our way of providing our clients with exciting opportunities to treat their discerning taste buds.”
To create the elit pristine water series, Stolichnaya scoured the globe for the most pristine water sources, leading them to the Langtang National Park in the Himalayas. According to the press release, for the first edition of the series, the water was sourced from the heart of the Himalayan Mountain Range, and then combined it with winter wheat, which is completely free of impurities, harvested from the Tambov region in Russia. The ingredients are then mechanically filtered to remove imperfections while still maintaining the water’s natural composition. Finally, the vodka enters the freeze-filtration process.
The elit pristine water series is 40% ABV (80 proof) and each limited edition bottle retails for $3,000.
The beverage has a crystal-clear, slightly viscous appearance and an exceptionally clean and neutral nose with fresh and engaging subtle aromas of citrus and fruit blossoms. The taste is lively and clean with a long and elegant, velvety smooth finish.
The handcrafted bottle is made from Bohemian glass, which is sealed with a gold-plated decorative ice pick. Each bottle is presented in an individually numbered hand-made, walnut carved chest.
As part of the elit unveiling, elit by Stolichnaya has partnered with Oceana, the largest international organization working to protect the world’s oceans. To coincide with the release of this first edition, Elit by Stolichnaya has also announced they will be contributing towards Oceana’s projects on behalf of the world’s oceans.
