UN Foundation Launches World-Wide “Challenge” With Private SF Celebration

The United Nation Foundation challenged the world to go big and go digital to improve lives around the world.  The ambitious endeavor arose out of a need to connect the largest group of passionate global citizens committed to helping the United Nations improve lives of the least fortunate.  And so the UN Foundation Global Good Challenge was born.

The Challenge encourages individuals to use technology and social media to take action and help United Nations create a better world.

The Challenge launch event was held at San Francisco’s picturesque Epic Roasthouse on October 5, a private affair hosted on behalf of the United Nations Foundation, the UN Foundation Global Entrepreneurs Council (GEC) and  Palindrome Advisors.

The host committe included Former Senator Timothy E. Wirth, President of the UN Foundation; Elizabeth Gore, Vice President of Global Partnerships of the UN Foundation; Zaw Thet, Founder & Chairman of Palindrome Advisors & member of the UN Foundation’s GEC.

Remarkably, the UN Foundation’s efforts have made it into San Francisco’s history books, as October 5 has officially been named “UN Foundation’s Global Good Challenge Day” in San Francisco. The award was graciously presented by Hydra Mendoza, education advisor to SF Mayor Ed Lee.
