Midtown Miami’s Newest Hotspot: Machiya Ramen Noodle House

Miami’s midtown neighborhood has welcomed the Machiya Ramen Noodle House as its newest culinary hotspot. The gourmet eatery, which opened this week on on the ground floor of Mid Block East inside the Shops at Midtown Miami, Machiya specializes in Japanese comfort food.

As fans of the restaurant will already know, the name Machiya refers to the wooden townhouses found throughout Japan where the front of the building traditionally serves as a restaurant space. One of the restaurant’s main attractions is an incredible open cooking station, which occupies the center of the expansive U-shaped bar where guests can take a seat to watch their meals come together.

In advance of the opening, Rojarate Jitrakul, Machiya’s director of operations, said; “We are looking forward to sharing our unique concept with the Miami community. Our real authentic version of homemade noodle soup is unlike anything previously seen in South Florida. We are confident that our guests will love our creative and comforting menu. We want our guests to truly know homemade Ramen, the real Japanese soul food.”

Haute Living’s favorites so far include the Steamed Rock Shrimp Buns with Spicy Aioli, the Japanese Custard Chicken with Snow Crab and Black Truffle, and the “Dote Nabe” Red Miso Braised Short Rib, among others. The highly original cocktail menu is equally impressive; the Machiya, featuring Double Cross Vodka, fresh pomegranate, Briottet Crème De Cassis and Prosecco knocked our socks off!

The Machiya Ramen Noodle House is located at 3250 NE 1st Avenue in Miami. For hours and more information call 786.507.5025 or visit their website
