Where the Celebrities Partied Post-VMA’s

The talk of Tinseltown Thursday night wasn’t the VMA’s but the are they/aren’t they twosome of Katy Perry and John Mayer.

The musicians both arrived at the intimate Esquire magazine presented House of Hype Power Players dinner following the Video Music Awards. Though they were not photographed together at the dinner honoring electronic artist Kaskade, they decided to sit together (along with their entourage of ten) inside the Pink Palace’s ballroom, which was not yet open for the Svedka-sponsored after party. So watch this space…

Cast members of “Dancing With the Stars”, including Cheryl Burke and the Chmerkovskiy brothers, Maksim and Valentin, also attended the party, as did Ne-Yo, Akon, Chord Overstreet and Jessica Szohr.

Meanwhile, the gold-medal winning US gymnasts were the guests of honor at the NBA Baller Beats by XBOX 360 VMA Lounge party benefitting at the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA LIVE. The ladies palled around with UK pop act The Wanted and caught a performance by Karmin at the event, which benefitted VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.

DJ extraordinaire Paul Oakenfold was also on hand to catch a set by DJ Pauly D at SBE’s Greystone Manor.
