The Rendez-Vous Collection for Women Launched by Jaeger-LeCoultre

Haute Time had the opportunity to be a guest of Jaeger-LeCoultre for the Venice Film Festival. The big highlight of the festival in Venice, Italy was for JLC to announce the official launch of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Collection, for women. Jerome Lambert, CEO of the company announced the launch at the Gala for the Venice Film Festival, and held a press conference at the Palladio Hotel & Spa, to showcase the watches for the first time to top representatives worldwide.

What makes these watches so special, is that the face of the pieces are round. As we all know, this is the first time Jaeger-LeCoultre has made this style of watches for ladies, since the official launch of women’s watches from Jaeger-LeCoultre over 100 years ago.

These watches are going to be a huge success. I saw the first piece four months ago in New York, and was a huge fan, but now that I got to see the more sophisticated models, I feel this will a huge success. Of the watches, I personally prefer the larger size pieces on a lady. The watches look great, and the price of the pieces range from $8,900 to more than $250,000, depending on the level of sophistication. The first watches they showed were on the lower side of the spectrum, and were a smaller face. I think for the price point, this is a very good deal, and a competitive watch to compete with the other brands.

The next pieces were limited edition, as this piece below only made three worldwide. This is one of the most beautiful pieces I personally have ever seen, and for the lady that loves diamonds, this is a special watch and worth the investment. To me, this is artwork, and a collection piece that is a must buy for the right watch collector.

Another model equally as impressive they showed us, is also a piece of art, and are currently not available on the website. As you can see the piece is beautiful, and speaks for itself with the quality of artwork on the face in diamonds.

We also say a prototype, which was connected to the purse, and served as a purse with the watch on the side.

For the sophisticated woman that demands the best, my favorite watches presented today were the Rendez- Vous Tourbillon Collection. The first piece is called Rendez-Vous Tourbillon. The watch is in Pink Gold, 18 carats, with an alligator leather strap.

The next piece is called Rendez-Vous Tourbillon Enamel. This piece is available in two versions, one with snow-setting, highlighting the various shades of opaque and translucent enamel, the Rendez-Vous Tourbillon Enamel lends the rose a fascinating authenticity.

The brand not only sponsors this world-class festival, but also showcased its mission to give back while in Venice by promoting its support of a maternal care center in Afghanistan. Italian movie stars Riccardo Scamarcio and Cristiana Capotondi strolled the red carpet with Venice International Film Festival Director Alberto Barbera as well Jaeger- LeCoultre CEO Jérôme Lambert. The luminaries carried roses in their hands and special editions of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s famous Reverso watches on their wrists.
