London Design Festival

Before fashion week, London has another reason to celebrate – this year marks the 10th anniversary of the London Design Festival. Brought to life by Sir John Sorrell and Ben Evans a decade ago, the festival was created to pay homage to the city’s immense creativity and bubbling innovation – and this year we have more than ever to celebrate. London has staged the Olympics, Paralympics and the Queen’s jubilee, handling the infrastructure related to these events smoothly and it in the process turning London into nothing less than a design mecca.

The London Design Festival, which kicks off on September 14, will last for ten days and see hundreds of events take place across London. Get one step ahead of the festivities by downloading the iPhone app and gain access to the full festival guide with all the listed events (searchable by category, location and time of day – what more could you ask for?). Our highlights include the Global Design Forum, Townhouse at 35 Belgrave Square and the BE OPEN Sound Portal in Trafalgar Square.
