Florence + The Machine to Play at the Leonardo DiCaprio-Hosted LACMA Art + Film Gala

Actor Leonardo di Caprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow will be co-chairing the LACMA Art + Film Gala with Florence + The Machine. The benefit will honor Hollywood greats Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick.

The event will take place on October 27 to honor artist Ed Ruscha and filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, as well as raise money to expand the role of film at LACMA. Individual tickets start at $5,000 and a table of tickets starts at $50,000 and guests will be able to hear Florence + The Machine perform through the museum’s hallways. The event will raise funds to help bridge the gap between LACMA and Hollywood.

Artist Ed Ruscha will host an exhibit at LACMA from September 22, 2012 through January 21, 2013 titled, “Ed Ruscha: Standard” and filmmaker Stanley Kubrick also has an upcoming exhibit at LACMA called “Stanley Kubrick” from November 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
