Having come of age as a fashion editor at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, I am used to twelve days of utter insanity. And when I say insanity, I mean insanity. I required two interns to put my schedule together beforehand and someone on call morning, noon and night in case I needed an address/invitation/bag pick up and drop off.
I would pull next season’s clothes and accessories from showrooms a week ahead of time so that when bloggers cornered me on a street corner I would be able to give the designers I loved a little extra press. Hair and makeup had to be camera ready from 8am to midnight to ensure I didn’t look as rundown as I felt when being photographed in aforementioned clothes…
