United Way of New York City to host Benefit in Southampton

On August 25, the United Way of New York City will host a special event to benefit “What’s on the Table?” The event is a fundraiser for the United Way’s multi-faceted to combat hunger and improve nutrition for New York City’s most vulnerable children and families.

Today in New York, one in four children lives in a food-insecure home. Overall, more than 1.5 million New Yorkers struggle to put even the most basic of meals on the table.“What’s on the Table” works to ensure that all poor and low-income New Yorkers are able to access healthy, nutritious food, but they need your help in order to do so.

The event will be held at the Southampton home of Avis & Bruce Richards. Co-chairs for the event include Susan L. Burden, Dorothea Hurley & Jon Bon Jovi, Avis & Bruce Richards, and Lori Silverbush & Tom Colicchio. The benefit committee members include Katie Lee and Lauren Bush-Lauren. Please RSVP to the event via the United Way of New York City’s ticket page.
