Super Saturday Celebrates Fifteen Years
While ominous skies roaring with thunder may have threatened to rain out one of the most highly anticipated events of the year in the Hamptons, that did not stop throngs of celebrities and fashionistas alike from willfully attending to support the annual Super Saturday designer shop-a-thon. This year’s event held in the fields of Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill raised an astounding $3.6 million and marked the fifteenth anniversary for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s (OCRF) signature fundraiser.
In its typical fashion frenzy, shoppers raced to the racks amid aisles of illustrious brands ranging from Donna Karan and “Designers A to Zoe” by Rachel Zoe to Stella McCartney and Scoop NYC, all selling retail merchandise at significantly discounted prices. As guests sipped Mumm bubbly and nibbled cupcakes courtesy of Crumbs Bakeshop, many took a short respite from the sales to enjoy mini-makeovers at the Fresh Beauty mobile truck pop-up and – a highlight of this year’s array of activities – palm readings from the resident psychic.
Kelly Ripa, Paula Patton, Donna Karan and Ariel Foxman co-hosted this year’s fete. Celebrities included Matthew Settle, Mark Feuerstein, Lara Spencer, Star Jones, Tiffani Thiessen, Sam Champion, Beth Ostrosky Stern, Josh Elliott, Judith Giuliani, Hilary Rhoda, Alina Cho, Nick Loeb, June Ambrose, George Kotsiopoulos, Jeannie Mai, Isaac Mizrahi, Jonathan Cheban, Kyle Richards, Ingrid Vandebosch, Veronica Webb, Hilary Rhoda, Diem Brown, Chaske Spencer and Jessica Hart, among others.
