Royal Tulip Opens in Mumbai

On August 15, Louvre Hotels Group opened its first Royal Tulip Property in South Asia, making a move into the five star market in Mumbai. Royal Tulip Navi will be managed by an affiliate of Groupe du Louvre, Louvre Hotels Group and owned by Concrete Builders.

The 97-room property, Royal Tulip is located near Mumbai in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) and features one presidential suite, 90 superior rooms, six premium rooms, Mukammal, a specialty Awadhi cuisine restaurant, the Connoisseur Lounge Bar, the Plunge, a poolside bar, Kahwa, a bar and coffee shop all included as a part of F&B outlets.  Also, a spa, fitness centre and conference centre.

“Navi Mumbai is being well developed as an extension of our commercial capital. We are confident that the upcoming international airport at Navi Mumbai would have global visibility and thus we see tremendous potential in this market. We realize the dearth of luxury and quality hotels in this market and hence we decided to come up with our luxury five-star brand,” said Managing Director Vimal J. Singh of Louvre Hotel Group following the opening of Royal Tulip.

In addition to the opening of Royal Tulip, Louvre Hotels in India plan to open by the end of this year, Golden Tulip in Goa and Tulip Inn in Chandigarh and Mussoorie which will feature 80-100 rooms. By 2015, the group is hopeful to open 50 hotels in India with the help of a partner.
