Owlwood Estate of Holmby Hills, CA On the Market For $150 Million

Its official the Owlwood Estate in Holmby Hills is now on the market with an asking price of $150 Million, making it the most expensive residential home in the California. Even though the property has not been listed in the MLS, we look forward to the luxury property showing up in the MLS very soon, with the help of The Agency of Beverly Hills currently representing the property.

Owlwood Estate features eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a pool and tennis court all on 12,201-square-foot of land. The Tuscan-style house was designed and built by well-known architect Robert D. Farquhar in 1936.

The home was once owned by the former wife of Arthur Letts Sr., a department store mogul, Florence Quinn and followed by producer Joe Schenck, and even later, actor Tony Curtis and singing duo Sonny and Cher.

Even though the property has had many famous buyers, real estate sales in the area are lacking so this means the seller is willing to accept any buyers highest price offered for the one-of-a-kind property.

For some time now the property has been compared to Candy’s Spelling’s former manor which carried a similar price tag of $150 million, but only sold to Petra Ecclestone for $85 million.

Here’s a video of Owlwood in a time when Brad Pitt were still happily married and when the late Aaron Spelling was very much alive, but not to mention when the asking price of the property was $39.9 million.
