What’s On My Desk: Jon Gray, Vice President and General Manager of The Linq

Ever wonder what the most powerful leaders, business execs and celebrities keep on their desks? Well, we’re about to tell you. Our biweekly “On My Desk” feature will take a look inside the offices and at the desks of the world’s most influential power players.
Here we have the desk of Jon Gray, the vice president and general manager of The Linq, the $550 million retail, dining and entertainment district that, when opened, will have the largest observation wheel in the world dubbed The High Roller. The entire center is scheduled to open in late 2013.
Gray talked to Haute Living Las Vegas about what he has on his desk.
1. I have pictures of my son and wife on my desk. I love knowing I have an incredible support team at home.
2. I am constantly looking at The Linq development plan. I review it every day, thinking about what will be in the project, how it will flow, how each tenant will interact with each other. I try to walk through the space in my mind every day. Keeps me excited about what we are creating!
3. I have a Moon Man. Usually these are given to the best artists at the MTV VMAs. I received one for my efforts in hosting the show during my time at the Palms. Keeps me motivated to stay creative, develop great partnerships, push the envelope, create experiences that are relevant and it’s a great conversation piece!
