As Nobu moves into its new Malibu location, Mr. Chow is swooping in to Nobu’s former Cross Creek Mall location. Expected to debut in about three months time, Mr. Chow’s Michael Chow said that opening up in Malibu was a “no-brainer”.

According to Michael Chow, “Nobu and I share the same clientele – we’re buddies, so to speak. One day people eat Chinese, the next day Japanese. Our places are very close in Tribeca, they’re complimentary. So Malibu is really a no-brainer.”

Once opened, guests can expect to enjoy the same Mr. Chow delicacies they are accustomed to from the Beverly Hills location.

“It’s very user-friendly,” Chow said of the new space. Expecting the “usual suspects” to enjoy his new location, Chow says, “I’ve opened restaurants all over the world, but I’ve never heard people more excited about any place than this.”

The new Malibu Mr. Chow is expected to be opened before Christmas.
