Haute Event: Vena Cava Launches Fall 2012 Collection With Haute Celebration at Chateau Marmont

Haute fashion house Vena Cava celebrated the launch of their Fall 2012 collection at Barney’s New York with a swanky shindig at Chateau Marmont on Wednesday night.

GenArt hosted the event, which attracted celebrities like Malin Akerman, Busy Phillips, Sophia Bush, Jenny Lewis, Teresa Palmer, Julia Jones, Bella Heathcote, Binki Shapiro, Langley Fox Hemingway and Kelly Oxford.

Marc Lotenberg, GenArt’s CEO, was also on hand to toast designer Sophie Buhai before Coachella favorite St. Vincent performed poolside.

Said Lotenberg of the decision to fete Vena Cava: “This year we want to make an effort to connect with those artists and maintain a longterm relationship to ensure continued growth. This event for Vena Cava will be the first of many in which GenArt demonstrates support for, and celebrates the success of our alumni. We look forward to continuously working with these artists and brands interested in aligning with them to build an innovative portfolio of events, activations and digital presence.”

Vena Cava’s Fall collection was influenced by Noir films of the ’40s and ’70s such as Chinatown, Taxi Driver and The Long Goodbye. The collection features both bold and colorful pieces with an emphasis on men’s tailoring; elegant 40’s dress shapes, and singular prints.
