“American Idol” season five winner and Bally’s Las Vegas headliner Taylor Hicks presented a check for €10,000 (approximately US $12,000) to the Wounded Warrior Project during his show on Tuesday night.
On Thursday, July 26, Hicks won The BiLLe Celeb Charity Challenge, an online contest where “Superfans” upload celebrities and “Fans” vote daily, ultimately directing a pool of charitable donations to the winning celeb’s favorite charity. Each week, the Superfan who nominated the winner and one Fan who helped vote that celeb to victory have a chance to take part in a ceremonial check presentation.
Superfan Holly Dey from Connecticut received a final push with the help of Taylor Hicks himself, which helped her to gain the win.
