The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel has just given LAers another reason to love the glitz and glamour of Hollywood with its free movie screenings on Monday nights. And what better way to up the excitement than a night exclusive for Marilyn Monroe lovers. Yesterday many came out and enjoyed the screening of “Some Like it Hot,” starring the blonde-haired starlet.
The exclusive screening was welcomed with a specially-themed menu in honor of Marilyn Monroe that featured very similar food that the beautiful actress was rumored to adore like French fries. The chef prepared DiMaggio Ditalini pasta, ‘haute’ dogs, truffle French fries and for dessert champagne sorbet and chocolate-covered strawberries.
In addition to the free movie screening and special Marilyn Monroe menu, many enjoyed viewing some of the most precious items of the heart throb like nudes shots by photographer Tom Kelly, annotated scripts, gowns, private documents and personal cosmetics at the Marilyn Monroe exhibit held at the Hollywood Museum.
