Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim: Tori Praver at The Webster

Swimwear designer and IMG model, Tori Praver, brought Miami a fresh and colorful line, titled Ventus Scopis or “wind swept,” at The Webster this past Saturday alongside owner Laure Heriard-Dubreuil. Guests were showered with cocktails by AKVINTA vodka while the vibrations of DJ Jauretsi filled the room with energy.

Coming from the beaches of Maui, Praver is no stranger to what women should look like when daring to surf the waves. She boldly creates looks that emphasize the importance of showing off curves while maintaining a classy and sophisticated approach to swimwear.

With a unique collaboration on display with Danny Fuller, the professional Hawaiian surfer, their combined admiration for a natural appearance did not go unnoticed; most of her pieces, if not all, include flowery and island-inspired details. Praver’s one-piece suits in particular take the original idea of a one-piece and make it better by incorporating a plunging neckline and low-cut back.

Our favorite, a yellow halter-top paired with a high-waist bottom, took us back in time to the Marilyn Monroe era.

Tori Praver Swimwear is currently available in multiple department stores, boutiques and online throughout the country. Stores include Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie, Net-a-Porter.com and Shopbop.com.
