Infamous Owlwood Estate Reportedly on the Market for $150 Million

If the rumors are true, one of Hollywood’s most famous properties is on the market.

Owlwood, which sits between Sunset Boulevard and the Los Angeles Country Club in Holmby Hills, is said to be up for sale for the sum of $150 million.

The estate was built by architect Robert Farquhar in 1936 for Florence Quinn, the ex-wife of department store and real estate mogul Arthur Letts Jr.

It has also belonged to Joseph Drown, who made the Hotel Bel-Air what it is today, 20th Century Fox founder Joseph Schenk, Superior Oil founder William Keck, Tony Curtis; Sonny and Cher and, most recently, Dawn Arnall, the widow of subprime mortgage profiteer Roland Arnall.
