When a house as storied as Mulberry opens, everyone comes out in the most dapper and foppish finery, but with a too-cool-for-school twist. Just like the brand itself, the crowd was a mix of pretty young things and iconic San Francisco fashion stalwarts. While the nattily suit-clad DJ spun a mix cool enough for the Glastonbury Festival, J. Sheekey, an anglophile’s dream, catering with crisps and crustaceans. The signature drink of the night was a elderberry vodka lemonade that packed a secret punch despite it’s fruity flavors. There was a raffle where guests were able to win a signature Mulberry Bayswater or Del Ray. But everyone left a winner with a cheeky goodie bag filled with a golden paper crown, gilded stickers featuring the furry monsters of the 2012 ad campaign and Mulberry’s A/W 2012 lookbook.
