Haute Event: Holly Robinson Peete & Rodney Peete Host Lavish DesignCare Benefit in Malibu

Holly Robinson Peete and husband Rodney Peete threw a glamorous party on Saturday to benefit their charity organization, HollyRod.

The couple recruited some famous friends for an evening of fashion and music at a private residence in Malibu.

Guests like Paula Abdul, Lisa Rinna, Brooke Burke, Jane Seymour, David Charvet, Regina King, Harry Hamlin and Jonathon Schaech enjoyed a full evening of activity on Saturday night at the 14th annual DesignCare benefit.

After a cocktail reception, both a silent and live auction and fashion show by designer Sue Wong, Natalie Cole  and Jeffrey Osborne wowed the crowd with a surprise vocal performance.

Honorees at the gala included Justin Kanew and Zev Glassenberg of “The Amazing Race”, who received the HollyRod Champion Award and NBA player Brian Grant, who received the Matthew T. Robinson Jr. Award of Courage. CEO and Chairman Gerald L. Storch accepted the HollyRod Corporate Compassion Award on behalf of Toys “R” Us.

The annual event, whose sponsors included American Airlines, Audi Beverly Hills and NARS, raises funds for those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease.
