Asian Expansion with the Luxury Collection

It’s official that within the next three years, the Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts are expanding in Asia amongst gateway cities and resort destinations with the debut of seven properties.

“As a new generation of global affluent travelers emerge, we are strategically growing our portfolio beyond the traditional luxury grid and in diverse destinations, like Hainan Island and Chennai, that have become important hubs for business and leisure,” said Paul James, global brand leader of St. Regis and The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts.

As of August 2012, the brand will unveil its first resort in China called The Royal Begonia, a Luxury Collection Resort, Sanya that will feature eighteen luxury villas, private pool and gardens, along with 142 guest rooms.

In September 2012, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Shangai will open its doors with 171 rooms. In 2014, The Castle, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian in China is schedule to open. Also in July 2015, The 1958, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Suzhou will be unveiled. This August India can look forward to ITC Grand Chola, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Chennai, making a goal of ten hotels for The Luxury Collection.

With the help of both Thailand and Indonesia a third property milestone will be reached for the brand with the addition of Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Koh Samui that features 80 rooms in December 2012 and in January 2014, The Sarasvati, a Luxury Collection Resort, Bali will open.
