After launching its first ship in Asia in January 2012, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has seen an increase in demand for luxury ships visiting Vietnam and Cambodia. In response, Uniworld will launch a new ship called River Orchid in 2013 that will go along the Mekong River.

Uniworld is a unique partnership between five-star boutique hotels and luxury cruise ships that elevates the standard in river cruising with quality and service. In collaboration with Red Carnation Hotels, Uniworld provides a unique experience with signature touches and memorable service. Guests on Uniworld ships are treated to a luxurious fleet of ships, which have all been designed and decorated with the finest furnishings, art and modern luxuries. Built on the premise of “no request is too large, no detail too small”, the award-winning hospitality offered includes world-class cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients and a wide selection of wine.

The new ship that Uniworld will launch is called River Orchid and will feature 30 staterooms and a policy of never carrying more than 60 guests in order to ensure personalized service. Handcrafted in French colonial style, the ship includes five-star luxury experiences with unmatched comfort, extravagance and leisure.

“The demand for Vietnam and Cambodia has exceeded our expectations,” Guy Young, president of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises said in a press released. “We quickly sold out all of our departures in 2012, and so it made sense for us to add an additional ship along the Mekong.”

The luxury ships also feature an exclusive executive deck and a large indoor pool. The company offers shore excursions hosted by local experts, world-class gourmet cuisine and personalized hospitality. With 500 departures sailing on over 13 rivers in more than 20 countries throughout Europe, Russia, Egypt, China, Vietnam and Cambodia, Uniworld is looking forward to providing the same high-end experiences in Asia.

“Uniworld wants to continue to offer our clients a well diversified portfolio of product offerings throughout the world, and we want to deliver to our guests the very best accommodations and amenities these regions have to offer,” said Young. “We have also included many exclusive VIP benefits that are only available to our guests.”
