Kate and Laura Mulleavy are bringing their unique style to yet another dance project. The Rodarte designers are teaming up with Benjamin Millepied once again to create the costumes for his new L.A. Dance Project this fall.
The fashionable sisters will bring their ethereal style to Millepied’s dance and art collective at the Walt Disney Concert Hall from September 22-23.
The ladies, who live in Silverlake, recently collaborated with Natalie Portman’s choreographer husband for the costumes of “Two Hearts”, which was part of the New York City Ballet’s 2012 spring gala.
In addition to creating the look behind Portman’s Oscar-winning film Black Swan, the Mulleavy sisters have also now branched out into opera. They have created costumes for Don Giovanni, which runs at the Disney Concert Hall from September 22 – October 14 with sets designed by architect Frank Gehry.
