Quincy Jones & Bruno Mars Debut Spotify’s Artist-Curated Playlists

The always innovative Quincy Jones was the feature attraction Tuesday night as he debuted the Spotify Artist App at the Andaz Hotel.

The legendary producer was on hand as the music-sharing company launched four new music apps including his own, as well as from fellow artists Tiësto, Rancid and Disturbed.

He celebrated during a cocktail reception at the West Hollywood hotel alongside guests such as Bruno Mars, Tatyana Ali, Olympic athlete Lyndsey Vonn and Tommy Lee.

During the fete, Jones said: “The Spotify Artist App is a wonderful opportunity to share some of the behind the scenes stories of a few of the memorable recordings that I have been fortunate enough to make. I think this App will give entertaining insight and value for these recordings to both music fans and aficionados.”

His app will combine playlists and artwork to tell the stories behind his successful career in the music business. He will also be featured speaking on exclusive audio clips talking about his personal heroes and mentors, the art of hit-making, and how music is used in movies.
