Patek Philippe has finally made its West Coast debut and all we can say is…it was about time!

Tourneau unveiled its new concept store and the arrival of its ultra-luxe Patek Philippe Corner in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza on Wednesday afternoonwith a cocktail party benefiting the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA).

The showroom is calming and luxurious, blending palettes of walnut, glass, matte nickel and Venetian plaster. The boutique is also completely modern, with video screens embedded throughout the store and tablets upon which to get information about each of the 3,100 watches carried.

Tourneau CEO Jim Seuss was on hand to chat about the stunning showroom he designed with the help of renowned architecture firm Eight Inc., who are responsible for brands such as Apple and Virgin.

“Retail is in the detail,” he told us before taking us through the store to see the never-before seen timepieces shipped straight from Geneva as well as the shop’s VIP room for serious and very private retailers.

He said: “As a company we are looking to modernize the experience of watch purchasing, by using new technologies and ways of engagement to shape the customer’s experience. We are excited to welcome visitors to experience our South Coast Plaza new store and look at discovering, purchasing and collecting watches in new ways.”

He also revealed that he has plans to expand the Tourneau brand to Century City in the very near future.
