Haute Skincare

Here are some products and steps I recommended. This is my routine. I’m not a doctor and all skin types are different. This combination has worked magic on me so naturally I want to share it with you. If you are on a budget, think twice about splurging on trends and look after your face, it’s yours to keep!

1.) When you wake up, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and cold water.
It shrinks pores while hot water (be mindful in baths and showers) has an aging effect as it strips oil from the skin.

Wash your face with: Eminence- Sweet Red Rose Cleanser

Rose is one of the all time best and most traditional facial cleansers. Its an astringent, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. I love the smell, and it’s very gentle. I make my own from time to time, here is the recipe I use.

2.) Pat dry
After you wash your face, do not rub it dry. Patting allows a little moisture to be retained.

3.) Apply a Vitamin C serum to your face.
This is an extremely important step to incorporate into your face washing regimen. Topical Vitamin C is effective against wrinkles and even acne. It delivers maximum antioxidant protection from free radicals, which cause premature aging.

I use:
Obagi Professional C Serum 20%

4.) Apply sunscreen to your face your neck, your decollete and your hands EVERY MORNING.

I use:
Oclipse Sunscreen and Primer

5.) Twice to three times a week at night after you wash and dry your face apply a retinol

I use:

This is prescription only, if you can make an appointment with a dermatologist to get a retinol, I would do so. It will eliminate lines, acne, scars, uneven skin tone all the while regenerating your cells!

6.) Once or twice a week I would also suggest an intense scrub.

I use:
Exfoliating Polish
This exfoliating polish increases the epidermal turnover, and literally makes you glow. It’s perfect for retinol users who want to expedite the peeling process as this is often refereed to as “take home microdermabrasion.”

My last tip of the day is this:
Do NOT frequently moisturize your face. You stop creating your own moisture, which actually serves to age you faster. Your skin should be peeling from time to time (COMPLEX A! RETINOL!) in order to regenerate.
