Haute Event: Pavel Datsuk, Henrik Lundqvist, Jordon Everle, Joffrey Lupul and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Race Ferraris at Dream Racing

Several top NHL stars traded ice time for track time at Dream Racing on Tuesday afternoon.  The pros, in Las Vegas for the NHL Awards, each got behind the wheel of a Ferrari F430 GT, a car specifically tuned for the track that is not even street legal.

Among the players testing their skill and racing against each other were: Pavel Datsuk of the Detroit Red Wings, who is up for the league’s Selke Award for best defensive forward; NY Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist who is vying for both the Hart MVP trophy and the Vezina award for top goaltender; Jordon Eberle of the Edmonton Oilers, a contender for the Lady Byng award for skill and sportsmanship; Joffrey Lupul of the Toronto Maple Leafs, a Masterton award nominee for perseverance and dedication; Calder award contender for top rookie Ryan Nugent-Hopkins from the Edmonton Oilers, and John-Michael Liles of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The NHL stars learned about the racing machine from Dream Racing owner and former pro driver Adriano de Micheli, and practiced on the 3D simulators before suiting up in racing gear and hitting the track where they raced at speeds up to 120 mph.

Dream Racing is a Ferrari racing experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway that allows anyone to become a race car driver for the day.
