Alex Rodriguez contributed to a veritable home run derby in the Yankees home game against the Atlanta Braves last night. The teams hit a combined nine home runs, a benchmark at the new Yankee Stadium. Unfortunately, the Yankees lost 10-5. It was A-Rod’s 640th career homer, and came amidst stifling heat and humidity that has players running for cover in the shady dugouts.
