British fashion designer Stella McCartney has opened her first in-store boutique and an accessories wall in London’s most luxurious and well-known department store, Harrods. The boutique is located on the First Floor at the International Designer Collection Rooms while the accessories wall is on the Ground Floor.
Featuring ready-to-wear designs, Stella McCartney’s new boutique in Harrods completes the “World of Stella McCartney”, which includes lingerie on the 1st floor, kids on the 4th floor, fragrance on the ground floor and Adidas by Stella McCartney on the 5th floor.
According to McCartney, “Harrods is a very iconic store and it’s a British institution, and I think Harrods is a great home for luxury and to be part of that is very exciting.”
The new boutique features freestanding brass rail installations and sculptural white leaf wall hanging rails along concrete walls. There are wood-paneled changing rooms, sculptural brass door handles, oak parquet floors and a neutral palette in maple, oak and walnut with accents of pale blue and pink.
Harrods’ Chief Merchant, Marigay McKee, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Stella McCartney to our line up of leading International designers. The new boutique will allow our clients to indulge in Stella’s exquisite signature style of sharp tailoring blended with femininity, which is both elegantly wearable and directional.”
