The Los Angeles Film Festival kicked off on Thursday with gobs of glitz, glamor and amore.
Penelope Cruz cut a stunning figure as she strolled down the red carpet in a golden gown from Michael Kors’ Fall 2011 collection to promote To Rome With Love, which had its U.S. premiere and opened the festival last night.
Director Woody Allen was on hand to speak about his latest destination movie at the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE, along with Penelope’s fellow muses Greta Gerwig, Alessandra Mastronardi and Simona Caparrini.
After an introduction by LAFF artistic director David Ansen, Allen spoke reverently about his leading ladies, saying:”I’m always very lucky to get a great cast. If you cast very talented people, you get out of their way and don’t screw them up, and they make you look like a hero, and then I take credit for it.”
