2012 AIA/LA Restaurant Design Awards Winners Announced

This weekend just made the summer a lot more interesting with the announcement of the 2012 AIA/LA Restaurant Design Awards winners at the three-day celebration of modern design, Dwell on Design at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

In the restaurant category we have jury award winner from 1 to 4. The first jury award winner goes to A-Frame in Los Angeles with designs by Knibb Design Corp. Jury Award Winner 2 is Beachwood Café in Los Angeles, designed by Bestor Architecture; Jury Award Winner 3 is La Birreria in New York, NY with designs by TPG Architecture and last but not least Jury Award Winner 4, Talisker on Main in Park City, UT with designs by Denton House Design Studio.

Take A Bao in Studio City runs away with the People’s Choice Award with designs by MASS Architecture and Design. In the café category winners were announced as follows: Jury Award Winner Le Zinque in Venice with designs by Modern Arc Inc. and Eric Ryder, AIA. Also, Le Zinque won the People’s Choice Award within the same category.

In the bar/lounge category, La Descarga of Los Angeles won Jury Award winner 1 with help from Houston Hospitality for design. While Salvage Bar in Los Angeles with the help of Straight Designs and Tima Winter, Inc. came home with two awards, one Jury Award and a People’s Choice Award.
