On 17 May London’s cutting-edge fashion brand Vivid Flair London made an exciting entry into the Emirates with an exclusive launch of its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection at the Armani Hotel.
The exclusive evening showcased the ready-to-wear line targeted at the young cosmopolitan woman and was hosted by renowned UAE stylist Derek Khan. The brand’s debut into the UAE is marked by the opening of its flagship store at the Dubai Mall. Attended by over 400 guests representing the crème de la crème of Dubai society, including the KSA council general and other diplomats from around the world, the event took inspiration from the theme of vintage Hollywood. The décor of the room was lavishly decked with white roses and feathers while vintage movie montages projected onto the walls and staff waited on tables dressed in themed costumes. A gourmet dinner was served before the fashion show began presenting the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. A sophisticated color palette of jewel tones created in luxurious silks and satins and combined with the beauty of delicate laces and offset with intricate beading enchanted guests as models paraded before the new attire. The night also included performances from a number of live musicians, acrobats and other live ensembles adding to the alluring and vivid ambiance.
Vivid Flair London focuses on revealing the woman behind a dress – her story, character and charm. Each dress is designed to touch on three key attributes of the wearer: elegance, femininity and sophistication. “Dubai is a global shopping hub and retail paradise. It seems fitting that we opened our store in Dubai Mall – one of the largest malls in the world,” says Vivid Flair London’s CEO Eyad Abdullah Mashat. These are dresses which can be worn at all occasions and which aid the wearer to most fully express her unique personality. Headquartered in London with huge commercial success under its belt in Saudi Arabia, Vivid Flair London opened its doors in Dubai as part of its global expansion plan, Dubai being a key market for the fashion industry and the hub of shopping in the Middle East. Following the Dubai Mall opening, Vivid Flair London plans to open branches in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
