Two Jaeger-LeCoultre Timepieces Break Antiquorum Auction Records

The May 13 Antiquorum auction in Geneva saw two Jaeger-LeCoultre rare timepieces hit the sales records by breaking pre-sales estimates, going two to six times higher. These were an early steel 1947 Reverso and a 1958 Geophysic chronometer.

The Reverso reached a final sale price of CHF 50,000, four to six times more than its estimates of CHF 8,000 to CHF 12,000. This makes the 1947 Reverso, a rectangular, reversible, stainless men’s wristwatch with red lacquered dial, the most expensive of its kind to be auctioned.
