Thomas Duncan Gallery Hosts Sean Kennedy Solo Exhibition in Los Angeles

On May 31, the Thomas Duncan Gallery will host an opening reception to kick off the solo exhibition of new work by Los Angeles-based artist Sean Kennedy. The reception will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the exhibit will include wall pieces made from synthetic suede stretched over panels.

Kennedy studied at the Stadelschule in Frankfurt am Main in Germany and received his MFA from the University of Southern California. Additional pieces in Kennedy’s solo exhibition at the Thomas Duncan Gallery include pieces that have objects placed on top of framed, clear acrylic glass panes that hang overhead between ceiling and floor.

Kennedy’s work has previously been exhibited in Negotiation of Objects, Actual Size LA, Los Angeles, CA; Jancar Jones, San Francisco, CA. Upcoming exhibitions include one in New York, which is currently untitled, and will be curated by Brendan Fowler.

Sean Kennedy studied at the Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main, Germany and received his MFA from the University of Southern California.  Previous exhibitions include: Upcoming exhibitions: UNTITLED, New York, NY curated by Brendan Fowler.

The Thomas Duncan Gallery is located on Melrose Avenue between June and Seward streets. One hour parking is available until 3 p.m. directly in front of the gallery.

The gallery is open on Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. and Sunday-Monday by appointment only.
