Two of the most talked about PBS chefs, Lindsay Autry and Roy Villacrusis are teaming up for a two night special at Chef Corp Cook’s Studio in Palm Beach Gardens on May 20.

Lindsay Autry is the former executive chef at the Omphoy and recent Top Chef: Texas finalist. Roy Villacrusis is a progressive Asian-culinarian who has worked in numerous local restaurants including Kapow Noodle Bar. Autry and Villacrusis will spend two nights working side by side at Chef Corp Cook’s Studio on May 20 and 21.

On May 20, 60 diners will join the cooking duo for Sunday Supper and on May 21 another 60 diners will be served Monday Leftovers (which actually also includes a multi-course meal).

Autry, who was a top-three finalist in Top Chef: Texas, said, “Pop-ups are very trendy right now in other, larger cities. I thought doing pop-ups would be a fun way to try out different restaurant concepts and get out in the community by creating a celebration, more or less, of all things local.”

Promoted primarily by world-of-mouth, the Chef Corp Cook’s Studio event is designed to celebrate locally grown ingredients. Villacrusis and Autry will be cooking with what local Palm Beach growers and purveyors provide for the event, so the exact details of what will be offered on the menu will only be revealed the day of.

The event will be a multi-course meal and local brewer Seth Thomas of In the Mead Time will be on hand to provide drinks that go with the hors d’oeuvres.

“Even though Roy and I have different cooking styles, we were both classically trained. It has been a really neat experience for us to work together and figure out how we can meld our different cooking styles to make something unique, so that is a really good, creative learning experience for both of us,” said Autry.

Tickets to the Lindsay Autry and Roy Villacrusis’ two-day Sunday Supper, Monday Leftovers pop-up event cost $115 per person, which includes hors d’oeuvres, a five-course meal and wine pairings.
