According to new reports, Moscow is where many billionaires from around the world are choosing to live. The city has topped the list and been crowned the billionaire capital of the world with seventy-nine billionaires currently calling Moscow their home.

Last year there were 32 billionaires and 62 almost-billionaires, but in 2012, Moscow has 79 billionaires residing within its city limits, more than anywhere else in the world. One of the main reasons is because of the growth in the internet business men within Russia, many of whom own shares in Twitter and Facebook.

One of these billionaires is Alisher Usmanov, the first Russian corporate leader who bet and won on internet companies not related to his core industry. Moscow is also the home to the world’s 13th youngest billionaire, Maxim Nogotkov, who is just 35 years old and is the founder of Svyaznoy Bank.

In addition to the world’s largest grouping of billionaires, Russia is also home to 62 millionaires who are on the verge of achieving the title of billionaire.
