The Guinness Book of World Records has recently named Serendipity 3’s “Le Burger Extravagant” burger the most expensive burger in the world at $295. This isn’t a first for the renowned Upper East Side location, having created the most expensive ice cream sundae in the past.
Le Burger Extravagant is available for a limited time only, and is required to be ordered at least 48 hours in advanced. It is composed of Japanese Waygu beef on a truffle-buttered campagna roll, 10-herb white truffle butter with seasoned Salish Alderwood smoked Pacific sea salt, cheddar cheese, black truffles and a fried quail egg. To add a very special touch, the burger is topped with a gold Fleur de Lis toothpick, a toothpick covered in diamonds carved by famed New York-based jeweler, Euphoria.
The beauty of the burger is not only its extravagant and juicy taste, but also the reason behind its creation: all profits gained from the burger will be donated to Bowery Mission, to help the hungry and homeless people of New York.
Hats off to Serendipity 3 for its generosity and delicious, new world-record creation.
