Just three months ago, Lady Gaga was seen sipping out of a china cup and saucer during a press conference in Tokyo following last year’s tsunami which left many in despair. Lady Gaga has been known for her many tea cups in the past, but it was recently that the pop star auctioned off the very same china cup, marked with a special message “We pray for Japan” along with her lipstick mark and autograph. The bids were higher than four million yen ($50,000) with a starting bid of 1 yen to more than 4.1 million yen. The auction currently is at “Yahoo! Japan Auctions” up until midnight Sunday with all proceeds going to the assistance of young Japanese artists who desire to study within the United States. As of next week, the superstar will be starting her Asian Tour in Japan.
