Kobe Bryant has been known for being one of the best basketball players in the entire NBA and that title still stands, even after suffering a concussion and broke nose. Since February’s NBA All-Star game where Dwayne Wade horribly fouled Bryant, causing the Lakers star player to wear a mask during each game after.

Well it seems that the same sweaty mask has brought in $67,100 after 129 bids. According to abclocal.go.com, the autographed mask will help to benefit Los Angeles youth homelessness and the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, a foundation started back in 2011. After hearing the alarming number of underage homeless from 7,000 to 10,000, the Bryants felt a sense of urgency to help by starting their organization.

During a press conference to announce the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, the star athlete admitted that the issue “hits home more” by being a father of two children. Bryant went on to express his feelings about the shocking youth homelessness figures—“shocked the hell out of me.” So it was no surprise that Bryant dived right into such a wonderful charitable opportunity.
