Mayor Michael Bloomberg got into a bit of hot water over the weekend after flying his private helicopter from a 34th Street helipad closed during weekends. An irritated neighbor took video footage of Bloomberg’s eight takeoffs and landings from the helipad, which since 1998 has been closed on Saturdays and Sundays to appease nearby residents who’d complained of intense noise pollution.
