On Thursday night, there were several major events happening, the Obama campaign fund-raiser at George Clooney’s and the Geek 2 Chic charity fashion show in which Microsoft and Bloomingdale’s teamed up together to make it such a successful night. This charity event was indeed for a good cause, with catwalkers who are well-known for their tech-savy, digital, media and social-networking abilities.

The models were produced by Microsoft’s very own, Mark Drapeau and completely amateurs to the runway, but rocked the runway with the latest Marc Jacobs, John Varvatos fashions and Theory. While others attended the Obama fundraiser, many entrepreneurs set their sights on the Geek 2 Chic event. The new models were Ezra Butler of The Kernel, Andrew Kirk of CitySourced, Peter Cheruki of Huffington Post Media Group, Miles Beckett of EQUAL, Nathan Coyle of AOL, Latham Arneson of Paramount Pictures, Kevin Arthofer of HUB LA and Jonathan Eppers of eHarmony.

Also, social-media agent, Erik Kuhn walked the runway with such style and grace, while checking into Foursquare. Here’s what Kahn had to say about his chose to model for a good cause. “There were two major events in Los Angeles tonight. There was the Obama campaign fund-raiser at George Clooney’s. And there was tonight’s benefit to encourage entrepreneurship all over America, especially in low-income communities. I wanted to be here.”

What really made this event great is that every one of the two dozen innovators that took to the runway all had a great time, with some help from the M.C. of the night, Shira Lazar, who briefed the audience on each model’s interests, accomplishments and best of all, relationship status. C.M.O of Viddy, Evan White, recorded the audience, Matthew DiGirolamo Instagram-ed the audience which was a wonderful idea for the media and social-networking world.
