2. The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges
Transcend New York chaos by stepping inside The Mark for breakfast. Famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is behind this spacious and attractive dining room, decorated in earthy hues with luxurious design elements like mirrored trim, over the top blossom arrangements and wide armed, stuffed chairs. As for the menu, it's simple and chic. The dishes are both fresh and sophisticated with all the trimmings you might expect from JGV. Choose from an array of eggs--like the omelette with spinach and gruyere cheese, the freshly backed pastry basket, and seven different types of juices squeezed-to-order. The Mark opens for breakfast at 7AM, Monday-Friday.
