The Shins kicked off the summer concert series at the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Friday night.
The Grammy-nominated band, comprised of frontman James Mercer, Yuuki Matthews on bass, Jessica Dobson on guitar, Richard Swift on keyboards and Joe Plummer on drums, performed a number of songs from their recently released fourth album, Port Of Morrow, including “Simple Song” and “September.” Fans were also treated to older hits such as “Phantom Limb,” “New Slang” and “Caring is Creepy.” Santa Barbara-based band Gardens & Villa opened the show.
Next up at the summer concert series at the Boulevard Pool is Justice on Thursday, April 19, Florence + The Machine on Saturday, April 21, and Cage the Elephant on Thursday, April 26.
