Hansel Emory Tookes II Hosts President Obama for $10,000-a-plate Luncheon

Hansel Emory Tookes II will be hosting President Obama at his home in Palm Beach County on Tuesday during a $10,000-a-plate luncheon. Well-known within the Democratic National Committee, Tookes serves on several board of directors and is friends with numerous influential individuals.

Hansel Emory Tookes II is currently retired, but remains on the board of Corning, FPL Group, Harris Corp. Ryder, the Florida Education Fun, the Florida State University Foundation and the Aeronatics and Space Engineering Board of the National Academies. He has a wife, Paula, a song, Hansel E Tookes, and a daughter, Heather Tookes. Both of the children went to Yale.

Tookes II and his wife Paula have donated to Sen. Bill Nelson, Kendrick Meek, President Obama and the Democratic National Committee. They will be hosting President Obama at the home in Palm Beach County on Tuesday for a luncheon that will have guests paying $10,000 per person. President Obama is expected to make a 60-90 minute appearance and guests will likely have the opportunity to get a photo with him.

While in the area, President Obama will be making a speech about the economy at Florida Atlantic University and then heading to the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood for a fundraiser with tickets costing between $500 and $5,000. Following that appearance, the President will head to the home of lawyer Jeremy Alters in Miami-Dade for a dinner that has tickets priced from $15,000 to $30,000.
