“Glam Rock to Erase MS” Attracts Celebrities For a Good Cause

This year’s 19th Annual gala, Race to Erase MS is rocking out with platform shoes, glitter and wild hairstyles.  Entitled “Glam Rock to Erase MS,” Nancy Davis and Tommy Hilfiger will host the star-studded event on May 18.

The evening is full of entertainment, including live performances by the vocal quartet “The Tenors” and American Idol winner David Cook, a dance performance by Derek Hough and Teri Garr and Deb and Bill MacMillan will be presented with the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis “Medal of Hope” award.

The gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel raises millions of dollars every year towards the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis’ Center Without Walls program, an initiative that promotes communication and teamwork of medical research between six of the top research centers in the nation.

The night begins in the main ballroom with a fashion show featuring styles from the Andy Hilfiger “Andrew Charles Rock ‘N Roll Collection” as well as the debut collection “Authentic Icon,” inspired by American Idol.

Following the fashion show, guests will have a gala dinner and go toe-to-toe in a live auction for haute items such as European, Mexican and domestic hotel stays from St. Regis, a walk-on roll on Charlie Sheen’s show “Anger Management” which includes a meet-and-greet with Sheen, a shopping spree with Paris and Nicky Hilton and many more luxurious prizes will be up for grabs.

The May event is in conjunction with “Orange You Happy to Erase MS” awareness month.  Orange is the color of choice for the campaign, so in May sport as much Orange as you can to raise awareness.  The website, www.erasems.org, is selling products and clothing from top designers with all or a portion of the proceeds benefiting the cause to stop MS.

Tickets to “Glam Rock to Erase MS” start at $1,000 and tables start at $10,000.  To purchase ticket for the event you can go to info@erasems.org or (310) 440-4842.
